Tatakamara
The World of MeleeMon
MeleeMon inhabit Tatakamara alongside humanity and, after ages of humanity’s turmoil and war, have evolved to mimic the various forms of human combat, eventually becoming what are now known as “MeleeMon Styles.”
MeleeMon in the wild would fight incessantly, which drove many species to extinction at an alarming rate. Seeing this change in nature, humanity managed to suppress their more violent tendencies and began to work alongside MeleeMon, harnessing both sides’ need for combat into a competitive battling sport, solving conflicts without a danger to life.

Melea
The Capitol Continent of MeleeMon Champions
After the Core Cataclysm, many continents on Tatakamura were completely restructured, most of which was Melea. Now, with so many burgeoning ecosystems, Melea has become one of the most biodiverse continents on Tatakamura. Due to Melea’s particular biodiversity, it has it has become one of the most popular regions on Tatakamura, further leading it to become the central hub for MeleeMon Champions competition.
Fun Fact: Melea used to be 3 different separate continents each with their own unique ecosystems.

The Green Plains
Dominated by grasses and bushes, this region provides a relatively flat, open land, many early migrators to Melea found a safe and comfortable living environment.
MeleeMon – The MeleeMon in this region are mostly docile and omnivorous, making it an easy starting point for young MeleeMon coaches.

The Red Woods
One of the lower-density forests in Melea, the Red Woods, are comprised of tall “Bomb” trees (called such because of their large bright red leaves that soar over the land at the top of their tall, wide trunks) and larger shrubs letting in plenty of sunlight while also providing plentiful shade.
MeleeMon – T-Rocket dominate these woods, with their telekinetic fists easily weaving around Bomb trees, making most other MeleeMon rather cautious on the ground. Arboreal MeleeMon, however; like Kadoomaroo, don’t often conflict with them due to their reclusively.

The Handgrove Swamps
Large “Handgrove” trees (named such due to the hand-like roots rising above the water) slow the water in this area, attracting many MeleeMon species, making these swamps one of the more biologically dense regions in Melea.
MeleeMon – Kingrab can be seen powerfully trudging through the water and thicker muddy areas of the swamps, with their massive size and power leading to the nickname; “King of the Swamp.” Many MeleeMon have adapted to life in the Handgrove trees, with MeleeMon like Origanii and Seebird forming nests around them.

The Crown Peaks
The Crown Peaks of Melea is a mountain range formed around a core volcano (core well) that arose during the Core Cataclysm. The range contains the most altitude variety of all regions in Melea. The highest elevation is over 10,000 meters above sea level and the peaks at this elevation surround the only active core well in Melea.
MeleeMon – Most MeleeMon live within the lower and middle elevations within the Crown Peaks, though, Roaguru are said to venture all the way over the peaks, to the core well, and back multiple times throughout the year. It is said they are guiding MeleeMon spirits to the afterlife.

The Anaran Savannah
Though the Anaran is closely connected to the Green Plains, it sits at a lower elevation under hilltops and has much more widely spaced trees. The yellow tint of this region comes from the yellow short grass that covers it.
MeleeMon – The vast open space provided by the Anaran, allow MeleeMon like Luchita to freely sprint around at its top speeds of 100 miles per hour, which it is rarely able to do in any other environment.

The Cold Plains
The coldest and most northern region of Melea. Vegitation is sparse in these plains, making the conditions too harsh for most MeleeMon’s survivability.
MeleeMon – Sillkuma, the Cold Plains’ mascot MeleeMon, hibernates for 9 months out of the year, only leaving its cave in the winter months.
